Provident Fund, PF for short is actually a type of retirement fund. Which is one of the most reliable places for employees after retirement. This PF gives everyone a fixed return. At the same time, it also protects the life of the employee in a social way. So everyone has a bird's eye view of the money in the Employees' Provident Fund account.
If a PF investor has to keep an eye on his / her account, or better yet, when a PF investor accesses his / her PF profile to view the balance, interest, etc., he / she needs the employee's Universal Account Number, abbreviated as UAN. By logging in to the UAN homepage, employees can learn about the details of their PF account, including their online passbook, transfer request and adjustment. But did you know that even without this UAN number you can check the balance of your PF account? Under the new system, EPFO subscribers need to log in to the EPFO official portal.
How to check PF account balance without UAN number after logging in-
Step 1: Log on to EPFO's home page at https://www.epfindia.gov.in
"Member Balance Information" - Navigate to this section.
Step 4: Select your state and enter EPF Office, Establishment Code, PF Account Number and other details.
Step 5: Then click on the 'Submit' option to see your PF balance.
Apart from this new service, EPFO members can check their PF balance through SMS or Missed Call service even if they do not have UAN number.
In case of SMS, by typing 'EPFOHO UAN' from their registered phone number and sending an SMS to 7738299899, the balance information is given. On the other hand, even if you make a missed call to 011-22901406, you will get all the details regarding PF.
